Stone’s banner deals allusively with various American images, including a fragment of the Confederate flag.  Her subtly layered plexiglass sculpture has been included in major exhibitions at such institutions as the Modern and Whitney museums in New York, the Flint Institute of Art in Michigan, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, the Des Moines Art Center and several others.  Her recent exhibitions include a one-man show at the Emmerich Gallery in New York, and a show titled “Painting and Sculpture Today” at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and a major show at the Contemporary Art Center of Cincinnati.

Born in Toronto, Canada, she now lives and works in the artist’s district of SoHo, New York.
